COMMON QUESTIONS
We offer two different types of SIMS: educational and immersive. Educational SIMs are a blend of educational classroom work and decision-making simulations. This means you will learn the material and then get the chance to test it out in our simulation game. We provide the ranch data, and you make the decisions on those ranches.
Immersive SIMs go beyond one subject and let you look at your ranch or one of our ranches as a whole. You make decisions, test if they work, and see the impact your thinking has on your bottom line. These decisions are all real decisions you may make on your ranch one day, and we work hard to stay as realistic as possible.
This is a true training, not just another workshop or class. You will get to be in the trenches, making decisions and seeing the impact the entire time. We add education throughout, but the hands-on in action process is the big takeaway of the event.
Ranching for Profit is a great school and a great foundation for this training. Here you will take your RFP principles and see how they impact and change an operation. This is the place to test theories and ideas vs learn about them.
A Computer.
There will be a supply list mailed out prior to each school, but the biggest thing is a computer. Highlighters and calculators are also helpful.
That's the core of what we do. Take confusion and bring clarity. We too have attended other schools and then got home Monday morning and thought "now what" our frameworks and experiental learning make your Monday morning happen in the classroom so instead when you get home you think "I've done this, I'm good".
